Associate Professor Laura Beloff has received a DKK 3 million grant from The Nordic Culture Fund for the pan Nordic research project Hybrid Matters.

The project is an art & science investigation into digitally enabled communication between biological and technological actors. And the the aim is to investigate and explore how digital technologies can create new models of communication and form new kinds of connections between the various actors in “hybrid ecology”.

The project partners – the Finnish Society of Bioart, the artist co-operative Forum Box, Kunsthall Grenland (Norway), the Swedish artists Å+K and the IT University in Copenhagen – have come together based on their many years of experience in digital technology and art, and will work to dissolve the boundary between scientists and artists
